Data Transformer

DNP3 to MQTT

Outstations over TCP or a serial line, read by class (AI3), as a device profile writes them (g30v5 idx0) or as group:variation:index. Design it in the editor, validate it, build the package and run it.

Implemented, not yet proven on hardware. The DNP3 driver deploys and runs in this release of the Edge Runtime. It has been tested against a simulated outstation, not yet against a real RTU, so treat the first commissioning as the verification.
Architecture

Typical use case

Substation or water-network RTUs whose points should reach a broker or a database beside the SCADA, without touching the SCADA's own DNP3 master.

Configuration approach

Points as the profile writes them

AI3, BI0, g30v5 idx0: the same spelling the device profile uses.

TCP or serial

Host and port, or a serial line, with the outstation and master addresses.

Quality travels with the value

A point that stops being readable is published as such, never as a repeat of the last good number.

Build a DNP3 to MQTT gateway

Create a project, define the device and its tags in the Edge Logic Editor, and download a runtime to test at the plant.
