MTConnect to MQTT
CNC machines that publish MTConnect: the gateway reads data items from the agent's /probe, /current and /sample endpoints over HTTP, by data item id, and publishes them with the other plant data. Design it in the editor, validate it, build the package and run it.
Typical use case
A machine shop wanting execution state, spindle load and part counts from its CNCs on the same broker as the rest of the plant, for OEE and utilisation dashboards.
The MTConnect driver deploys and runs in this release of the Edge Runtime. It has been tested against a simulated agent, not yet against a real machine tool, so treat the first commissioning as the verification.

Xload, execution, part_count: the ids the agent's /probe lists.
The agent, not the control
The gateway reads the MTConnect agent over HTTP; the machine control itself is not touched.
Quality travels with the value
A data item the agent reports as UNAVAILABLE is published as such, never as a repeat of the last good value.
