SNMP to MQTT
Network switches, UPSs, environmental sensors and anything else with an SNMP agent: OIDs polled with v1, v2c or v3, and traps received when a trap port is opened. Design it in the editor, validate it, build the package and run it.
Typical use case
Plant-floor infrastructure beside the machines: link states, UPS battery and load, cabinet temperatures, reported on the same broker as the process data.
The SNMP driver deploys and runs in this release of the Edge Runtime. It has been tested against a simulated agent, not yet against real equipment, so treat the first commissioning as the verification.
Configuration approach
OIDs
1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 and the rest, with the community or v3 identity on the device node.
Traps, opt in
A trap port opens a listener; without one the runtime stays purely polled and binds nothing.
Quality travels with the value
An OID that stops answering is published as such, never as a repeat of the last good number.
